FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
1. Who is Clairevolve? We are a purpose-driven clothing company where fashion serves as a medium for advocacy and collective healing. Our brand soul is a functional foundation, ensuring every strategic decision is grounded in the lived experiences of our community. We operate with the conviction that no story should end too soon, making our commercial success inseparable from our social mission.
2. What is the story behind the mission?
The brand originated as an independent resale shop managed by Nicole Mericle. Following the loss of her son, Gavin Berry (1999–2017), the mission transitioned into a fundamental operational mandate. Nicole transformed her personal grief into a "garment of strength" for others, ensuring every person has the clarity to see their own value.
3. How does my purchase support mental health?
We utilize a "Commerce with Compassion" model that integrates social impact directly into our business architecture.
Clairevolve is a formal partner of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). A mandatory 15% of every purchase is donated directly to the AFSP. These funds support four specific pillars: Research, Education, Advocacy, and Community Healing.
4. What is the relationship with the DrunkPanda company?
DrunkPanda is our exclusive internal design house. While Clairevolve provides the professional storefront and mission-driven foundation, DrunkPanda serves as the creative engine that brings unspoken, realist truths to light. By hosting DrunkPanda designs exclusively at Clairevolve, we ensure every trademarked art piece remains rooted in our commitment to suicide prevention.
5. I only see two DrunkPanda designs—is there more coming?
The Queen of Broken Hearts and Pure Vitriol represent the "Foundation Drop" of the DrunkPanda design house. We are starting with these two signature pieces to establish our realist roots, but this is only the beginning. We are currently preparing our most impactful series yet—visceral, social-commentary pieces that deconstruct the "Live, Laugh, Love" facade and the crushing weight of modern expectations. These upcoming flagship designs are the heart of the DrunkPanda mission and will be released in limited, exclusive waves.
6. What is the Clairevolve Fashion Philosophy?
We offer a "Slow Fashion" alternative to the high-waste cycles of the traditional industry. Intentional Curation: Every item is vetted for craftsmanship, longevity, and material integrity. Versatility by Design: We focus on "Transitional Pieces" that shift seamlessly from professional settings to everyday moments. Strategic Benefit: This approach reduces "wardrobe fatigue" by providing reliable staples that support the multi-faceted roles of a modern woman.
7. Why is the site sometimes under maintenance?
The storefront occasionally undergoes "temporary maintenance" as part of a deliberate Build-Measure-Learn (BML) loop. This period of "Review, Revise, and Improve" is a structured course correction based on market feedback to ensure our digital presence meets high-trust standards.
A Message from Our Founder
I built two worlds because the truth has two sides. As a realist, I know that we are all complex. We are the Pandaemonium—the raw, visceral reality of the things we don’t speak of—and we are the Evolution—the intentional path toward healing. DrunkPanda is my creative "decide," the design house where I speak the unspoken truth through art. Clairevolve is the sanctuary where those stories are honored through slow fashion and radical compassion. I transitioned this mission to honor my son, Gavin, ensuring that through our collective efforts, no story ends too soon. Whether you are here for the raw realism of a DrunkPanda original or the timeless elegance of a Clairevolve staple, thank you for being part of a community that values the profound courage it takes to truly be yourself.
With intention and heart,
Nicole Mericle Founder, Clairevolve & DrunkPanda
